Swords Celtic operates
under the following structure. The management
committee looks after the clubs accommodation and is responsible for the
maintenance and upkeep of the clubhouse, all weather facility and grounds in
conjunction with Fingal County Council. It is also responsible for the
administration of the community employment program and all appointed staff. The
two sub committees, the Schoolboy Section and the Seniors Section, fund the
management committee and each have representation on this committee.
The two sub
committee’s are run separately and each are fully independent both structurally
and financially. As our older schoolboy teams progress through the Schoolboy
leagues we have put in place a coaching structure to enable the Schoolboys to
join the Senior squads. No doubt this will be an important factor in the
development of the club going forward, benefiting both sections and bringing the
two together in a more cohesive structure. This system is already clearly
evident in the number of former Schoolboys now represented in the senior squads.
