Academy
Our Pee Wee Academy has been an
overwhelming success over the past few seasons, introducing hundreds of children
to the game in a fun and fair environment. The success of our academy can be
seen in our 7 a side teams, with teams at under 7,8,9 and 10 all playing at a
very high standard since emerging from the academy. In addition to our first
teams at each age group, all children from the academy will be selected for a
team suitable to their level, and all new members are made most welcome.
Warm ups and fun drills are followed by the chance to show what the kids have
learnt in our mini matches. The cheers the coaches receive each week at the end
of the sessions are proof in itself that fun and enjoyment come first at our
academy and each week all the kids go home happy, having learnt a little bit
more each time .We cater for all boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 7.
How to join
The Pee Wee academy runs all year
round at 6pm at our grounds in Balheary, outside the clubhouse or on the all
weather, depending on the time of year. The academy is open to all 5 to 7 year
olds. Simply come along any Friday or Contact Carolyn Darcy at 8406305 for all
enquiries. The academy costs just €2.50 per week to pay for equipment etc.
Any older children wishing to join
a team may contact Carolyn Darcy at 8406305. Players are always required at
every age level.
What to bring
Training gear of any sort, as
well as shin pads and either runners or boots depending on the time of year.
A rain
jacket and a drink should also be brought. Club shorts, socks and tee shirts
will be issued to all members during the year free of charge.
